   CAMPAIGN GOAL AND STRATEGY

    GOAL

   Change the numbers in the 49th Congressional District to make it possible for a Democrat

   (Howard) to win and help Democratic candidates in overlapping state and local races win as

   well.

   STRATEGY

   My strategy has the following two major thrusts:

 ·  Register new Democrats and get out the vote for Democratic candidates.

 ·  Promote Progressive values that resonate with voters.

   THE INCUMBENT

 ·  Is opposed to health care reform and Medicare.

 ·  Wants to reduce the size of government and privatize Social Security.

 ·  Wants to cut taxes on the wealthy and eliminate public programs and services.
